Common name : Olive-sided Flycatcher
Scientific name : Contopus cooperi
Status : Threatened
Reason for designation : This songbird has shown a widespread and consistent population decline over the last 30 years; the Canadian population is estimated to have declined by 79% from 1968 to 2006 and 29% from 1996 to 2006. The causes of this decline are uncertain.
Occurrence : Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Status history : Designated Threatened in November 2007. Assessment based on a new status report.
